The home of a man whose garage allegedly was being used to manufacture methamphetamines was raided Wednesday after police received an anonymous call about chemical odors coming from the home.

Milton C. Sanssouci, 38, of Yorba Linda was arrested and booked on suspicion of manufacturing and possessing methamphetamines for sale in his condominium, Brea Police Sgt. Mike Messina said.

Sanssouci’s sons, ages 12 and 16, and his daughter, 9, were present during the arrest at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and are now in the custody of their mother, Messina said.

Police used a search warrant to discover a large quantity of methamphetamines, several guns and semiautomatic rifles, and toxic and flammable substances in Sanssouci’s garage in the 4700 block of Logana Plaza, Messina said.

“There were enough chemicals to manufacture 60 pounds of methamphetamines,” he said, adding that the chemicals filled six 50-gallon drums.

Sanssouci is being held at County Jail on $25,000 bail.
