Lazers Meet First-Place Tacoma Tonight

The Los Angeles Lazers will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak when they play the first-place Tacoma Stars tonight at 7:30 in Tacoma.

The Stars (8-2) handed the Lazers their first loss of the Major Indoor Soccer League season, beating them, 2-1, in overtime Nov. 29. Since then, the Lazers (3-5) have been traveling a course similar to the one they followed last season, when they finished with a league-low 13-35 record.

Tacoma is led by Steve Zungul, Preki and Gary Heale.

With the exception of Paul Kitson and Poli Garcia, who is returning after a monthlong layoff, the Lazers still have most of their scoring threats on the injured list.
