Raiders, Rams ’87 Opponents Set

Home and away match-ups for the Raiders and Rams for the 1987 season have been set in accordance with the NFL’s schedule formula instituted eight years ago. The complete schedules, including dates, will be announced next Spring.

In addition to playing AFC West division rivals Denver, Seattle, San Diego and Kansas City home and away, the Raiders will meet Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit and Green Bay at the Coliseum. Road games are against the AFC East champion (either the New York Jets or New England Patriots), Houston, Chicago and Detroit.

Besides home-and-home games against NFC West division foes San Francisco, New Orleans and Atlanta, the Rams play Dallas, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Pittsburgh at Anaheim Stadium. Road games will be at Washington, Detroit, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Houston.
