The success of California’s four-year war on marijuana growers has driven the average cost for a pound of high-potency sinsemilla up from $2,000 a pound last year to about $3,400 this year, law enforcement officials said. The multi-agency Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) said marijuana with an estimated wholesale value of more than $400 million was confiscated and destroyed during 1986.
