Lawndale : Parking Rules Introduced

The City Council introduced changes to zoning ordinances to require that visitor parking spaces at new apartment buildings with security gates be outside the gates and that new businesses with drive-through windows obtain conditional-use permits.
Scott Ries of the Planning Department said it is impractical to have visitor parking behind security gates.
Ries also said it is necessary to require conditions on new businesses wanting drive-through windows because they pose noise and traffic problems.
