The Colonel’s chicken is coming to China.

Kentucky Fried Chicken signed a contract to become the first Western fast-food company to open restaurants in China, the company said, joined in the venture by Beijing Corp. The first restaurant is to open in Peking sometime next year. The company was bought in October by Pepsico Inc., the largest foreign bottler of soft drinks in China.
