Eric Dickerson of the Rams, the NFL’s regular-season rushing leader with 1,821 yards, was named to the Associated Press’ All-Pro team for the fourth straight year. Ram guard Dennis Harrah also made the first team, as did nose tackle Bill Pickel of the Raiders.

Miami’s Dan Marino, who threw for 4,747 yards and 44 touchdowns, was named the quarterback for the third straight season. Joining Dickerson at running back was Joe Morris of the New York Giants.

The Giants had the largest contingent on the first team. In addition to Morris, linebacker Lawrence Taylor, tight end Mark Bavaro and punter Sean Landeta were selected.
