A 7-month-old girl who underwent three liver transplant operations in less than a month experienced breathing difficulties and the hospital said her condition had deteriorated to critical and unstable. Meghann LaRocco was also suffering from kidney malfunction and high blood pressure, said Nancy Frazier, a spokeswoman for the University of Chicago’s Wyler Children’s Hospital. The infant had earlier been listed in critical condition, but with stable vital signs. Meghann’s father, unemployed dock worker Frank LaRocco, said he understood that a fourth liver transplant might be needed.
