A Security Pacific National Bank in Garden Grove was robbed twice in less than 24 hours by two different men, police said Tuesday.

Police said the branch in the 9800 block of Chapman Avenue was robbed at 11 a.m. Tuesday and at noon Monday.

Police Lt. Stu Finkelstein said that on Tuesday, a blond man in his mid-20s handed a teller “your basic ‘give-me-all-your- money’ note,” then ran out the back door with the cash. Police said no weapon was seen or found.

Witnesses told police they did not see a vehicle outside. The robber was described as six feet tall with a medium build.

The Monday robber, who also had a note and no weapon, was described as Latino in his 30s, about 5-foot-7.

In Orange, a bank was robbed Tuesday by a man who wore a baseball cap and sunglasses, police said. That robber escaped from the Bank of Southern California, 303 W. Katella Ave., with about $500 in cash at 12:35 p.m., said Orange Police Investigator Bob Gustafson.

He said the man entered the bank alone, waited in line, approached a teller and presented a note demanding money. The man simulated a weapon under his shirt, Gustafson said.

He was described as a brunet 27 to 32 years old, about 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. He wore a green checked shirt and jeans, Gustafson said.

Witnesses saw no getaway vehicle, he added.
