Compassion

Share

Time and again, we read letters or articles that bewail our weird lack of compassion for the unfortunate. To counter this problem we should begin early: Simply teach children to see pity as an expression of strength, rather than weakness.

If we do not do so, then we wish to teach them to deceive. They are, thus, deceived by us! A terrible failure, in ethics, this is! And none but an idiot would laugh at it all!
