A jogger in Arroyo Seco Park discovered the bodies of a man and a woman in a car parked with its engine running adjacent to the Pasadena Freeway, police said. The couple apparently died accidentally when carbon monoxide from a faulty exhaust system leaked into the car while it was parked with its engine running to keep the heater going, investigators said. “Neither of them had injuries, and there was no indication they were murdered,” Los Angeles Police Sgt. Robert Suter said. “They were both fully clothed, and it appears they were just sitting talking with the windows closed.” Both victims appeared to be in their late 30s and had been dead for several hours, Suter said. Their identities were withheld until their families could be notified.
