10,000 Homeless Seek Shelter in N.Y., a Record

NEW YORK —
More than 10,000 homeless people have sought shelter recently in the city’s 21 facilities and 56 designated hotels, 1,300 more than at this time last year and a record number, a city official said Saturday.
