A Shia Muslim terrorist group in Lebanon said it killed Yehuda Benesti, 80, a Lebanese Jewish hostage who was kidnaped in 1985. He was the fourth Lebanese Jew that the Organization of the Oppressed on Earth has claimed it killed since February, 1986; two of the previous victims were Benesti’s sons, Youssef and Ibrahim. A statement on behalf of the group, delivered to a Beirut newspaper, accused Yehuda Benesti and his sons of being spies for Israel. The statement warned that more hostages will be slain if Israel continues military operations against targets in south Lebanon. The group is believed to hold at least two other Jewish hostages.
