PDA Engineering, a software design and marketing firm, announced the election of Walter F. Bauer, 62, to its board of directors, increasing the board’s size to nine members.

Until 1985, Bauer was chairman and chief executive officer of Informatics Legal Systems, a data processing company he founded in San Leandro, Calif.

Bauer currently serves on the board of directors for two other computer software-related firms and is board chairman of Southern California Technology Executives Network, a nonprofit organization in Newport Beach working to improve management skills of corporate executives.

PDA also announced the relocation of its company headquarters from Santa Ana to a 81,000-square-foot facility in Costa Mesa.
