METAL SANS NAME

Share

Before this glorious heavy-metal battle continues any further, I wish to propose a new division of music for the unfortunate few groups who have been slugged pointlessly into the New Wave of Heavy Metal.

Let’s call this nameless mass the ‘70s Bands, for such groups as Led Zeppelin, Rush, Styx, the Who and their contemporaries (Bad Company, old Heart, old Boston, etc.).

Into the New Wave of Heavy Metal category are dumped Judas Priest, Krokus, Ratt, Bon Jovi and all their annoying Spandex-wearing, make-up-prancing, endless-guitar-soloing clones who sing only about women, beer and violence.
