A former Social Security Administration employee in Long Beach was convicted in Los Angeles Federal Court on charges of conspiracy and lying about his participation in two widespread schemes to sell Social Security cards to Filipino aliens who were not eligible to work in the United States. Assistant U.S. Atty. Harriet Leva Beegun said that Harold Johnson, 34, was to be paid $50 to $60 for each application he processed.
