March Fong Eu
In “When a Crime Comes Home” (Dec. 21 / 28), California Secretary of State March Fong Eu says she is enlisting as a soldier in the war on crime. Yet she failed to appear at a hearing for her accused attacker, and the charges against him were dropped. That’s one more battle lost. Eu has a responsibility as a citizen and a public official to set an example. An article such as this, detailing her feelings and how the attack has changed her outlook, is hypocritical if no action is taken on those words.
