The Jan. 4 Mature Traveler article by Bill Hughes considerably brightened a historically rather dull first week of the year. We have received more than 1,000 inquiries and our telephones are still ringing. Never before in my 30 years in the Los Angeles travel industry have I witnessed such a tremendous response from the public. What I also want to convey most especially is the many, many comments that have been made complimenting Hughes on how well the article was written and how much everyone appears to look forward to and enjoy his Mature Traveler column.
