Three of Quintuplets Die; Two in Critical Condition

NASHVILLE —
Three of a set of quintuplets born at Vanderbilt Medical Center died of lung failure Wednesday, and doctors said the other two infants were in critical condition with respiratory problems. They were born Tuesday night to Darlene Hawkins, 25, who had taken a fertility drug.
