The Bob Hope International Celebrity Golf Invitational, which would be the first pro tournament to be played on mainland China, is scheduled to be held late this year or early next year.

The tournament, which will have a pro-amateur format, is the work of a Hong Kong businessman, United Way International and Hope, whose Desert Classic is held annually in the Palm Springs area.
