“Shear Madness,” the long-running whodunit marking its seventh anniversary at Boston’s Charles Playhouse Thursday, will launch two international companies this spring. Producers Bruce Jordan and Marilyn Abrams said the show will debut March 25 at Le Stage Dinner Theatre in Montreal, with a multilingual cast, and April 15 at the Victoria Theatre in Barcelona, Spain. The Boston run, originally scheduled for just 31 performances in 1980, is now the second-longest running non-musical production in American theater history.
