The Region : Woman Held in Holdups

A 23-year-old Santa Ana woman was arrested by Garden Grove police and FBI investigators and charged with six counts of bank robbery, authorities said. Rose Lee Madden was arrested as she sat in a car at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and 1st Street in Santa Ana. Madden allegedly is responsible for at least six bank robberies since last November--three in Garden Grove, two in Westminster and one in Huntington Beach--and is under investigation in connection with several others throughout the county, police said. Madden was being held in Orange County Jail on $250,000 bail, Gibbs said.
