An increase in revenue and profit for the year ended Dec. 31, 1986, was reported by Chicago-based Borg-Warner Corp. For the fourth quarter, profit was down on higher sales. The company said earnings from continuing operations in its chemicals, automotive, protective and information groups were about even with 1985.
