Navy Rescinds Firing of Worker With AIDS

The Navy has rehired a commissary worker who was fired last year after contracting AIDS, his lawyer says.
Katherine Franke, attorney for 32-year-old Ed Horan, said the Navy rescinded its firing last week.
Horan took a medical leave from his job at the Navy Supply Center in August when he contracted AIDS-related pneumonia. He was fired in December because of “excessive absences caused by (his) medical condition.”
