Sikhs Kill 2 Policemen

NEW DELHI —
Suspected Sikh extremists killed two policemen in an ambush on a police patrol near Amritsar in northern Punjab state, the Press Trust of India news agency said Tuesday. The killings brought to 56 this year’s death toll in political violence in Punjab, where extremists are battling to set up a Sikh homeland.
