A federal judge in Brownsville, Tex., ordered Stacy Lynn Merkt, 31, a worker in a sanctuary movement for aliens fleeing political upheaval, to report to prison to begin serving a six-month sentence. Merkt was sentenced to prison in March, 1985, after being convicted of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens.
