The prosecution at the trial in Bonn of former West German Economics Minister Otto Lambsdorff recommended that charges of corruption against him and two other defendants be dropped. But the prosecution told the court it will seek conviction of Lambsdorff, his predecessor as economics minister and a former general manager of the giant Flick industrial concern on the lesser count of tax evasion involved in donations to political parties. The judge is to announce a verdict in the 17-month trial on Feb 16.
