Texas billionaire H. Ross Perot is putting on hold his proposal to move the Museum of the American Indian from New York to Dallas. Perot on Tuesday said he’d be in favor of the museum remaining in New York City if it could be housed at the former U.S. Custom House in lower Manhattan. Two years ago, Perot offered $70 million to move the financially troubled 71-year-old museum currently located in three places in New York. Congress will have to approve the use of the 460,000-square-foot Custom House.
