Industry Rules Eased: Developers interested in moving into Placentia’s manufacturing district will now enjoy more flexibility with their proposals under an ordinance adopted by the City Council. With the changes, which include allowing larger buildings and a mix of parcel sizes, development services director Joyce Rosenthal said, “the potential is there” to attract more businesses to the city. “Anything that encourages development is good,” Rosenthal said. The council also voted to allow churches in industrial and most commercial sites. Such unconventional locations for churches have become commonplace for new congregations seeking an inexpensive place to meet.
