SDSU Women Beat San Jose State

Jessica Haynes scored 20 points and Shelda Arceneaux had a team-high 13 rebounds to lead San Diego State to its first road victory of the season, 64-60, over San Jose State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. women’s basketball game Saturday night.

The Aztecs (4-6, 7-12) made 10 of 13 free throws. Brooke Meadows added 14 points for SDSU. San Jose State dropped to 1-8, 3-14.

In other action:

St. Mary’s 67, Point Loma Nazarene 41--The Crusaders shot 12% from the floor in the first half in the nonconference loss at home. St. Mary’s led at halftime, 37-13. Laura Mars led Point Loma (7-10) with 16 points.
