Duarte : Building Ban Extended
The City Council has extended for one year a moratorium on building at Highland and Central avenues while the city and Duarte Unified School District continue to discuss uses of the land.
The site, next to Duarte High School, is being considered for development as an educational center that would include Northview Junior High School and administrative offices. The present Northview school site on Central Avenue would be developed commercially by the Duarte Redevelopment agency.
