National Intergroup Loss More Than Tripled

National Intergroup Inc. reported a net loss of $7.1 million in its third fiscal quarter after losing $1.9 million a year earlier.
Operating income, however, reached $10.8 million on revenue of $1.1 billion, compared to an operating loss of $6.2 million on revenue of $1.3 billion a year earlier.
Interest of $22.6 million on borrowings overcame the operating income to cause the net loss, the company said.
