Soviet Space Mission Reported Going Well

MOSCOW —
Two Soviet cosmonauts sped into orbit Friday toward a weekend rendezvous with the Mir space lab that will be their home for at least the next five months.
The official news agency Tass said the mission was proceeding normally, with docking between the new Soyuz TM spacecraft and Mir set for Sunday.
According to Moscow radio, the two cosmonauts conducted their first medical experiment Friday while heading to their space home. It also said they checked camera equipment aboard their craft.
