TRW Inc.’s Systems Engineering and Development Division has signed leases worth a total of about $25 million for 301,200 square feet of space in Dominguez Properties’ Dominguez Technology Centre in Carson.
The high-technology and research-and-development park covers more than 400 acres at Wilmington Avenue and University Drive. The project will be worth more than $1 billion when it is completed around the end of the century, according to Dominguez Properties.
Phase 1 includes four buildings, one of which is nearly completed. Two of the other structures will be finished by July, and the fourth will be completed next January. TRW will move in as each structure becomes available.
TRW has options to extend its 7 1/2-year lease. The company has other options that would let it expand into 500,000 additional square feet of space that will be built in later phases.
Carson-based Kowalski-Harding & Associates Inc. is the project’s architect. Millie & Severson Inc. of Los Alamitos is general contractor.
