Santa Fe Southern signed more agreements.

In its quest to get the Interstate Commerce Commission to reconsider the merger of its two rail units, Santa Fe Southern Pacific signed "important supplemental agreements" with Union Pacific Railroad and the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. Santa Fe Southern had already signed agreements with the two carriers under which they would support the proposed merger in exchange for certain track rights. The latest agreements call for each railroad not to oppose the pact reached with the other.
