Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun will appear on five episodes of the syndicated “Superior Court” TV show Feb. 23-27, the Washington Post reported Monday. Blackmun, who was interviewed late last year by the show’s managing editor, Harry Levin, will discuss the constitutional issues raised by cases involving abortion, book-banning and affirmative action. Among those deciding the mock trials that week are former California Chief Justice Rose Bird, former education secretary and 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Justice Shirley Hufstedter and Arthur L. Alarcon, a current 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals justice. Blackmun received no fee for his appearances.
