Larry G. Morris, 48, chief financial officer of Tiger International, was named to the additional post of chief financial officer of the Los Angeles company’s subsidiary, Flying Tiger Line.

Morris joined Tiger International in January as a senior vice president after 15 years with Penn Central Corp.

Stephen M. Wolf, Tiger chairman and chief executive, said in a statement that Morris will play a “pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial position.” He said Morris will oversee an “interim restructuring” of the company’s debt and arrange long-term financing. Flying Tiger wants to restructure $300 million of its $525-million debt as part of a financial reorganization that also includes a massive reduction in employee wages at the troubled air cargo carrier.
