A 19-year-old Los Angeles man died in a Reno hospital where he was being treated for injuries suffered in a weekend skiing accident at Mammoth Mountain. Trey Cole was injured when he struck a tree while skiing down an intermediate slope. It was the Sierra ski area’s second recent major accident. On Jan. 31, another skier died after hitting some rocks.
