TV FEST CONVENES IN MONTE CARLO

The 27th International Television Festival of Monte Carlo is underway this week, with several American programs among the entries.

“Second Serve,” “Unnatural Causes,” “Resting Place” and “Amos” are nominated in the fiction category.

“Traffic in Children” and “48 Hours on Crack Street” are nominated in the news feature category, while “Ambush in Bicol” and an ABC News report on AIDS are other news entries.

Ted Shackelford of “Knots Landing” is the American juror on the seven-member international jury for the fiction programs.

Awards will be made at a gala Saturday.
