Central County : Two County Men Killed in Motorcycle Crashes

Two county men were killed just hours apart in separate motorcycle accidents, authorities said Thursday.
Ben H. Pulliam, 40, of El Toro, was killed when he drove across a traffic island and struck a signpost while driving south on the Santa Ana Freeway at the Alton Parkway off-ramp in Irvine on Wednesday at 11:13 p.m., a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Martin O’Hara, 22, a Marine at the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, was killed when he lost control of his speeding motorcycle, swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck parked at Ball Road near Trident Street in Anaheim, Police Sgt. Karl Fonceca said. The accident occurred at 1:20 a.m. Thursday.
Neither victim was wearing a helmet, police said.
