Perceptronics’ Quarterly Profit Up 63% on 1.7% Rise in Revenue

Perceptronics, citing cost controls and better profit margins on its contracts, said its profit rose 63%, to $314,770, or 9 cents a share, in the third quarter ended Dec. 31 compared to the third quarter of 1985. The Woodland Hills-based defense contractor said its revenue increased 1.7%, to $8.5 million, over the corresponding 1985 quarter.

Perceptronics does research on computer hardware and software, and makes simulators used by the military to teach troops to operate tanks.
