A teen-ager was being sought Tuesday as a suspect in the stabbing of two men outside a bar, authorities said.
Officers called to Arturo’s Cantina about 7:30 p.m. Monday were told that an unknown number of people had been fighting outside the bar, located in the 700 block of West 19th Street, Police Lt. Dave Brooks said Tuesday.
Brooks said two men were stabbed, and one man was seen running from the area carrying a knife. The fleeing man was described as being 17 to 19 years old, with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds, Brooks said.
He said residents Emilio Perez, 24, and Santiago Hernandez, 26, were taken to nearby hospitals.
Perez suffered a lacerated lip and was treated at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach. Hernandez was treated at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital for two stab wounds and later released, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Brooks said officers did not know what caused the fight.
