Geddes Shoots a 68 for Share of Hawaii Lead
Jane Geddes shot a four-under-par 68 Friday to move into a tie with first-round co-leader Alice Ritzman in the second round of the $300,000 LPGA Tsumura Hawaiian Ladies’ Open.
Geddes, who began the day three shots back, had five birdies through 17 holes and missed a chance for the outright lead when she bogeyed the 18th.
She completed 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament with a score of 139, five under par on the 6,220-yard Turtle Bay Hilton course.
She was joined by Ritzman, who had four birdies and three bogeys during a round of 71.
Dawn Coe, Penny Hamel and Cindy Rarick were tied at 140, while Hollis Stacy was at 141. Hamel had a 68, while Coe, Rarick and Stacy had 71s.
Chris Johnson, who shared the lead with Ritzman after Thursday’s round, slipped to a 74 and fell into a group at 142.
