A Tulare woman has been convicted of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence in the 1985 traffic deaths of two sheriff’s deputies. Found guilty by a jury that deliberated only three hours in Tulare County Superior Court was Nyrah Brazell, 25. According to California Highway Patrol investigators, Brazell’s car was traveling at more than 70 m.p.h. Aug. 5 when it struck a CHP patrol car broadside after failing to stop at the intersection of Avenue 120 and a California 99 off-ramp in Visalia.
