It’s a Wrong Number for Lotto
At least a few folks got some uncalled for sexy talk Monday when they phoned in on a special California Lottery lotto information line.
Information on winning lotto numbers can be obtained by calling any of three telephone numbers which are listed by most newspapers. The recorded information is given out in English, Spanish and Chinese.
Monday morning, however, both the English and the Spanish lines apparently got electronically crossed with a commercial “dial-porn” line, with the result that callers got some rather steamy talk from a woman with a sultry voice.
A spokeswoman for Pacific Bell said “there was a problem on the line” and technicians corrected it shortly after the first complaint was registered.
