Robert (Wolfman Jack) Smith, who returned to Los Angeles radio three years ago aboard KRLA-AM (1110), vanishes next week--at least until he renegotiates his contract. KRLA general manager Bob Moore said Tuesday that Smith’s contract still has four years left to run, so the gritty Wolfman gullet will continue to be heard somewhere on the station--probably from 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays over the golden oldies station. Smith, who recently appeared on a Bruce Willis HBO special, plans to do more television, Moore said. Smith’s 7-to-11-p.m. nightly shift will be held down from Monday through Thursday beginning next week by deejay Manny Pacheco.
