Entrepreneur and former Ticor executive Neil L. Diver has been named to fill a newly created seat on the board of directors of CIMCO, a Costa Mesa manufacturer of high-technology plastics.

The appointment of Diver, 49, increases CIMCO’s board to six members.

Diver is a managing director of Oakmont Corp., a financial management company, is a founder of two medical technology ventures and serves as a director of a software company.

Formerly, Diver was a senior vice president and chief financial officer of Ticor, a large financial services company, and was president of its affiliate, Ticor Mortgage Insurance Co.
