‘Working Parents Raising Children’

Share

Did Swallow ever stop to think of the single-parent home? Obviously not.

My son, an unusual man, is raising his two children, ages 6 and 8, as a single parent. He does agonize over the care of his children and has done his best to see that they are properly cared for when not in school.

My husband and I have done our share to help him and the children over the past four years. He is now on his own and doing an outstanding job of working all day, doing laundry, marketing, cooking meals and preparing for the next day. Contrary to Swallow’s belief, the children are both “A” students and have been from the time they were in preschool. Their dad even finds time to help with homework.

My husband and I also had hard times with one salary when raising our three children and they too became “beautiful adults” whom we enjoy. I’m sure our son will raise his children to become “beautiful adults.”
