Robbery Suspect Arrested: Following a tip, Irvine police on Friday arrested a 21-year-old man for the robbery last November of an Irvine savings and loan. Desmond Patrick Arbuckle of Irvine was arrested without incident at his home at 8:45 a.m., police said. He was accused of robbing the Century Federal Savings & Loan, 14425 Culver Drive, on Nov. 6. Police did not release details of that robbery, including the amount stolen and whether any money has been recovered. Arbuckle was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of bank robbery. Bail was set at $50,000.
