Oral Roberts plans to begin fasting on March 22 and to continue until he reaches a fund-raising goal “or God calls me home,” he said. The television evangelist has said that God told him he would die unless he raised $8 million for medical missions by the end of March, and he reported last week that he is still $1.5 million short of that goal. Roberts said he will begin the fast at the Prayer Tower at the university that bears his name in Tulsa, Okla. “I am going to be in and out of the Prayer Tower praying and fasting until victory comes or God calls me home.”
